Here are a few places in Ho Chi Minh City that Dang recommends for a bite to eat.

EAT

Pho Hoa Pasteur
260C Pasteur Street
District 3, Ho Chi Minh City

For good pho, you can visit Pho Hoa Pasteur. My uncle usually takes me there on the way to the airport as my last meal before I leave Ho Chi Minh City. It's nearly a ritual in a place I enjoyed visiting each time. Pho real!

EAT

Nam Gio
136/15 Le Thanh Ton Ben Thanh
District 1, Ho Chi Minh

Nam Gio is a nice quaint little restaurant in the alley near the old market of Ben Thanh. The subspecialty fruit from the old capital city of Hue which goes down really well with a nice cold beer or two. Make sure you try the banh beo!

COFFEE

Trung Nguyen Coffee

For a cup of coffee, you can go almost anywhere. Trung Nguyen Coffee is a pretty common place across the city. They serve consistent decent coffee in an a well air conditioned environment. Make sure you try a cafe sua da (vietnamese ice coffee).

EAT

Bún Bò Huế Yên Đỗ
252/68B Ly Chinh Thang Street
District 3, Ho Chi Minh City

Bun Bo Hue is highly underrated. It's a wonderful a spicy beef noodle soup which originated from the old capital of Hue. For some reason the bun bo hue always seems to taste better in Ho Chi Minh, in my opinion. A good place to visit would be Bun Bo Hue Yen Do?

EAT

Nha Hang Ngon
160D Pasteur Street
District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

Nha hang ngon is really popular with both locals and tourists. It's a nice building across the old Parliament where the end of the Vietnam war took place. This restaurant has a collection of different small vendors my street style food a whole. It has a great variety of food and drinks and in a really nice ambience and environment.

Michelle loves to eat and we all know that! Check out these yummy Malaysian treats.

EAT

Pavilion FoodRepublic
Pavilion Shopping Mall
Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Feeling peckish after giving your credit card a workout? FoodRepublic is one of the best food court in KL. Whether it's laksa, chicken rice or nasi lemak, this food court has it all and never fails to disappoint. Pit stop over, back to shopping!

EAT

Nyonya Colours
There's a few Little Penang Kafe's scattered around KL with one located inside KLCC Suria.

Well known for their Asam Laksa and Kuihs (colourful Malaysian desserts), this place is my mum's absolute favourite. I love their rice paper rolls and fried battered prawn skewers dipped in sweet chilli sauce.

EAT

Nasi Ayam Chee Meng
50 Jalan Bukit Bintang
Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

If you are looking for authentic chicken rice, you can't go past Nasi Ayam Chee Meng which began in 1965 and located in front of Low Yat Plaza.

DRINK

Marini's on 57
Level 57, Menara 3 Petronas
Kuala Lumpur

Looking for a place to chill with the best views the KL skyline? Head to Marini's on 57, Malaysia's highest rooftop bar, located on the 57th floor of the Petronas Tower for a cocktail.

EAT

Little Penang Kafe
There's a few Little Penang Kafe's scattered around KL with one located inside KLCC Suria.

If you don't have the time for a side trip to Penang (food capital), this place is almost as good as it gets. My dad always looks forward to a bowl of Penang Curry Mee as soon as he gets off the plane! You should also try Cendol (dessert), pie tee and of course the Teh Tarik.

EAT

Fatty Crab
2 Jalan SS24/13
Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya

There's really only one way to eat this and it's with your hands, don't be shy! Located about 40mins away from KL (closer to an hour with KL's notorious traffic), their signature dish - sweet and sour crab really does make your mouth water. Sweet and sticky, order this with a side of roti (bread) to lap up all the goodness!

EAT

Mamak stalls

Can't sleep? Most mamak stalls and coffee shops are open 24hours and are scattered throughout KL offering Roti Canai, Murtabak, Maggi Goreng, Nasi Lemak and a mean Teh Tarik. Why go to bed hungry?

Check out Jalan Alor if you are feeling adventurous for street food!
